Estee Lauder Appoints New Artistry Brands VP

Jennifer Balbier will oversee all product development for M*A*C Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown and Smashbox brands.

Estee Lauder has announced that Jennifer Balbier has been named senior vice president, global product development, Artistry Brands, overseeing all product development for M*A*C Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown and Smashbox brands. Balbier will continue to report to John Demsey, group president, The Estee Lauder Companies, and Harvey Gedeon, Executive VP global R&D and product innovation, The Estee Lauder Companies. She will begin her new assignment immediately.

“Jennifer Balbier has more product hits on her resume than we have room to list,” says Demsey. “Her highly developed expertise, passion and true mastery in cosmetics product development, coupled with her innate commercial sensitivity and creativity will help us to achieve the next level of growth for our Artistry Brands of M*A*C, Bobbi Brown and Smashbox.”

Ms. Balbier was a Cosmetics Executive Women Achiever Award recipient in 2002 and had served on the board of CEW for eight years. She was also one of the founders of the CEW Young Executives Committee and is also a member of the Board of Directors of the M*A*C AIDS Fund.
